Goco Spa at JW Marriott Venice*****

JW Marriott Venice, built in collaboration with the award-winning Matteo Thun & Partners architecture studio, offers 250 rooms in a unique location in the world, a private island in the Venice lagoon where each of the 8 treatment rooms offers a breathtaking view of San Marco and La Serenissima. With a refined thus informal style, the 1750 m² spa managed by GOCO Hospitality is the largest in Venice and welcomes guests with an indoor and outdoor pool and a modern and elegant wellness center.

Stenal built special creations in this majestic locations like an outstanding Biosauna in Poplar wood, where the benches were turned into modern chaise longue in wood stripes and lit by a warm LED light, a salt room supplied with benches made of wood coming from mountain huts and walls covered with pink backlit bricks coming from the renowned Himalayan caves. Last but not least, sober-looking and elegant, the classic Finnish sauna is made of Fir wood, as in the Nordic tradition, and carries on the culture of body and mind regeneration through heat baths.

Within a few weeks of opening, the GOCO Spa on the Rose Island has received two international recognitions: it was awarded as the Best New European Spa at the Senses Wellness Award 2015 – Senses is one of the most important authorities in the evaluation of the best spa – and won the award as Best Hotel & Tourism Resort at the Mipim Awards 2016.
