Wellness Hotel Palü

The Hotel Restaurant Palü is located in Pontresina, in the centre of the Swiss valley of Engadin St. Moritz, at the foot of three glaciers and 3000 and 4000 meter peaks such as Piz Palü and Piz Bernina. A 3-star superior Hotel where guests can breathe all the charm of the high mountains: the 56 rooms are furnished with traditional pine and mountain fir, with all the contemporary comfort of modern furnishings. The Palü also offers a wide range of services for mountain bike enthusiasts and for lovers of active holidays, with deeply regenerating moments in a truly original wellness centre, reserved to the Hotel guests.

The building and installation of the spa by Stenal are the result of an original reworking of traditional Alpine elements, to make them more universal and suitable for a cosmopolitan clientele. Stenal helped to bring out a unique wellness center, that could distinguish Palü from the other Alpenresorts; the Finnish sauna tailor made by Stenal in Hemlock wood is illuminated by large windows and a striking starry sky on the ceiling, combining the rustic effect of the fir beams that characterize the entire relaxation area with a modern environment, with airy and wide spaces. The Turkish bath created by Stenal customizing its professional steam bath models is characterized by generous dimensions, by benches with rounded lines, ideal for relaxing legs and back, and by warm colours, which recall the nuances of the woods. To make the stay in the steam cabin even more pleasant, Stenal has also included in the steam bath a music therapy and aromatherapy system, and an elegant square and scenographic element for the steam output.

The experience shower is an element that we can always find in Stenal’s wellness centres projects: this is because it is a multifunctional element that allows to replace the classic washing shower after the sauna and Turkish bath with an evolved environment, where water, lights and scents draw unusual settings, recalling the atmospheres of the winter rain scented with Pine essences, and those of a summer storm with citrus aromas.

The spa also offers a bio sauna, an infrared sauna, several massage cabins, a gym and an outdoor relaxation area where guests can admire the beautiful Spitz-Palü mountains.
