Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées & SPA

On the banks of Lago Maggiore, the Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées & SPA is a synonymous of luxury and hospitality since 1863. 

 

His charm led the American author Ernest Hemingway, who visited Stresa for the first time in 1918, to set part of his novel “A Farewell to Arms” in it. The Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées became worldwide renowned.  

 

After a complete renovation, the new Des Iles SPA recently reopened its doors with more than 3000 m² dedicated to wellness, indoor and outdoor pools.

Stenal was involved in the creation of the heart of the wellness center: sauna, steam bath, hammam, experience showers and much more. Everything is customized to fit the style of the hotel.  

 

In the Des Iles SPA, the guests can enjoy their stay in the Elite sauna, one of Stenal’s flagship products. Entirely handmade with Cedar wood slats, this sauna releases its intense aroma at high temperatures.  

 

Lit by its large glass windows, the SteamCuston steam bath uses the latest technology and the best materials to ensure a rejuvenating experience.  The high level of personalization of the SteamCustom steam bath guarantees that its style is in line with iconic looks of the Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées.  

 

The Des Ils SPA even has its own snow room: a cabin entirely designed and built by stenal to entertain the guests and to confer the space a fairytale look.  

 

The wellness path continues with Stenal’s emotional showers, who merge design and wellness with their combination of temperatures and colors.
