Grand Hotel Duca d’Este
The Grand Hotel Duca d’Este is located in Tivoli Terme, one of the main spa resorts of central italy. A few minutes awat from Roma’s city centre, the Hotel is within reach of striking italian Villas such as Villa d’Este and Villa Adriana, both of them being UNESCO World Heritage sites.
The Grand Hotel Duca d’Este offers 172 rooms and 12 suites, 4 restaurants, indoor and outdoor pools, 8 conference rooms and a wellness centre with three spas.
The Hotel’s TIBI SPA is, in fact, the only wellness centre that encloses three spas in one place.
The TIBI SPA in inspired by the ancient Roman Thermal Baths. Its wellness paths are therefore based on the alternation between heat, cold and rest, known for its physiological benefits.
The Spa offers a luxurious hydromassage pool, a sensory tub, Finnish sauna, steam bath, Mediterranean bath, Kneipp path, ice room, emotional showers, salt room and beauty cabins for wellness treatments and massages.
For several enviroments of the wellness centre, the Grand Hotel Duca d’Este relied on Stenal’s experience in the field of wellness and design.
The sauna Evolution custom made by Stenal for the TIBI SPA combinesdesign and technology. The sauna’s modern and refined lines are highlighted by the contrast between the dark tones of the Ash wood and the brightness of natural dried Linden wood, while the materials and the technologies curated by Stenal guarantee the maintenance of the ideal temperature in order to offer all the benefits of this traditional finnish treatment.
The spa’s steam bath, custom made by Stenal, is highly reccomended to benefit from the anti-inflammatory and anti-fatigue properties of the combination of heat and humidity.
If saunas and steam baths cannot be missing in any wellness centre, the TIBI spa offers the quite unusual experience of the Mediterranean bath: a room where the feeling of warmth is less intense compared to the other environments, despite offering similar benefits.
Realized by Stenal, the bath combines heated benches and a central tepidarium to grant optimal heat distribution. The experience is completed by a misting system that periodically releases natural herbs essence aroma into the room.
Going from hot to cold, thanks to Stenal the TIBI SPA can offer an ice room equipped with an ice shower and two Polaris cabins; the ideal environment to tone the skin and reactivate circulation after a warm bath.
Since the entire spa is inspired by the alternation of hot and cold, Stenal provided its Kneipp path and experience showers. The Kneipp path is based on a series of hot and cold pools and sprays capable of stimulating circulation and relaxing the muscles of the lower body.
The experience showers of the Paradise line are not just a great wellness treatment: their water falls and colors make this showers an exceptional design element and an unique multisensorial experience.
As for the relax area, TIBI SPA offers the comfort of the Chaise Longue Alpha beds and the spledour of the backlit Himalaya Salt Wall. To ensure relaxation, the room is heated to an optimal temperature by Stenal’s salt Tepidarium.
For those seeking an exclusive experience or a private moment, at the Hotel Gran Duca d’Este two private spas are available: the Venus Suite is perfect for couples, while the Amus Suite can host up to 15 guests for private meetings.
Both private spa include an Evolution Sauna and a SteamCustom steam bath designed and built by Stenal.
